Our Journey: Tracing the Notorious Star Legacy
Macho, the beginning of everything
In the winter of 2007, our first Chow Chow, the origin of everything, came into our lives. After wanting and searching for him so much, Cheppo Dondhup “Macho” became part of our family. Black, stubborn, moody, affectionate with us but wary of strangers and other dogs, in short, what I would now call a true Chow! With him, our journey began, an intense journey full of Chow Chows. Unfortunately, Macho was not suitable for breeding, but he still had a significant role in our hearts and in the pack that gradually formed.
Embarking on the Journey of Passion and Perseverance
With him also began our show experience, and the desire to bring home the “ideal puppy” grew in us, the one that would give us the opportunity to start this great adventure called “breeding.” The years passed quickly between one show and another, between thousands of hours of research among various pedigrees and publications, between joys and frustrations. Yes, it was not all roses and flowers, but our great passion for the breed has always pushed us beyond every obstacle.
Fostering Dreams and Champions: The Evolution of Notorious Star
Finally, in the fall of 2012, our much-loved litter “A” arrived: Ch Broken Hill Fan Fan La Tulipe (imp. HU) and Ch Maruso’s One And Only (imp. At) gave us five beautiful puppies. It was a unique emotion, the basis of everything we are today. Over the years, many other litters followed, many new arrivals, many new shows, and in 2017 our kennel name also arrived, NOTORIOUS STAR, a great achievement but also a great responsibility. Notorious Star is the name that will represent us in the future history of the breed, and with great pride, I can say that to date, we have produced over 45 various champions, multi-champions, young champions, Best in Show winners in various nations and continents, certainly not indifferent titles, but the most important thing is that we have given a lot of joy to the families who have chosen to bring home one of our puppies.
Generations United: Nurturing Passion for Chow Chows
In the fall of 2014, our daughter Giulia was born, who quickly became a reference point for all our Chow Chows. Like us, she has cultivated an immense love for cynology in general, but above all for this wonderful breed since birth. Giulia is a very active part of all the activities of our kennel: thanks to her, all puppies have an exceptional attitude towards children from the very beginning.
Our selection is based mainly on temperament, health, and beauty, three things that should absolutely not be missing in a "healthy" kennel. Since we started breeding, our lives have changed a lot, habits, rhythms, vacations, but I am sure that we could not and would not want to do without it anymore. Chow Chows are an integral part of our life and our family.
